Beech House - Self Catering Farm House, Holsworthy, Devon
Beech House is the largest part of our Farmhouse at Thorne Park and has many traditional features some of which date back to the 16th Century. A wonderful house perfect for get-togethers, family gatherings, celebrations or quiet breaks. Based in the countryside just outside the picturesque town of Holsworthy, it is the perfect base for visiting Devon & Cornwall. Relax in the private garden, or visit our animals on the working farm or have fun in the play area and games room.
You may wish to request a delicious home cooked evening meal which will be brought to you in the comfort of your dining room. Enjoy the large ensuite bedrooms, Inglenook Fireplaces with wood burning stoves, soak in the HOT TUB with a glass of bubbly, explore the working farm, go swimming in the sea nearby or perhaps a game of snooker /pool on the slate bed table. Whatever you choose to do, you’re guaranteed to have a relaxing and memorable time here in Ruby Country.
There are four ensuite bedrooms all double beds are now kingsize. well equipped kitchen, with range cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge and freezer. (tumble dryer) lounge and dinning room with inglenook fireplaces, wood burning stoves, TV, freeview, DVD, docking station wireless internet. Linen & towels, central heating, electricity and first bag of logs all included. Plenty of parking. Discounts for small groups and out of season weeks.
Thorne Park is a 100 acre working farm situated in a beautiful part of Devon known as Ruby Country, its tranquillity, gentle rolling hills and stunning views make this an ideal location. Go for a wander through our fields or by the stream at the bottom of the farm or watch our animals being fed.

We have two sheep who like to be fed by our guests, at times we have calves that can be bottle fed. Ideal for large or smaller groups, we offer a warm welcome and do our very best to give everyone an enjoyable stay with us. Open all year.
We are just a short distance from the market town of Holsworthy, the Devon/Cornwall border is just 4 miles, and Bude 10 miles with its breathtaking scenery and surfing beaches. Explore the surrounding countryside coast and moors or take a trip to Eden or Clovelly. Horse Riding, Fishing, Golf and shooting all nearby, cycle ways, walks and National Trust Properties abound in this area.
